EDM Carbon’s Essential Listings Feature

One of the main tasks of multi-channel sales is the placement of new products on several marketplaces. Amazon, eBay, and online e-commerce stores have different “required” fields. That is why manually entering each of them into the database is a long and complicated process.

And we found a new excellent solution. We designed a feature in EDM Carbon to be able to create a new product just once and then put it in all the right channels. And that’s what we do. Our development team is currently devoting all available resources to building this essential Lists tool.

Listings – Our staged development process

Our goal is to create the perfect gold standard for listing instruments and no compromises are acceptable. The new feature should be as versatile as possible, with everything you need to easily and conveniently list products for each channel with one click.

As you can imagine, this is a complex and time-consuming job with many variations of the “listing” process between channels. That’s why we’re working on a new feature in a phased development process. We are constantly tweaking and improving this ad placement tool to make sure everything works as it should and that all of our customers are absolutely delighted!

Stage 1: Listing imported products

Our first priority for listing functionality was released for initial beta testing in the first week of March. This allows you to import the product you’re selling into your EDM Carbon account and list it on eBay with just a few clicks.

We then added a few features for beta testing: the ability to list product variations. We know this is important for our multi-channel sellers who sell multiple items with slight differences such as color and size. The last piece to be added to this initial release was the default listing settings. We want to make adding new products as quick and easy as possible, that is why we’ve included the ability to pre-populate certain fields each time a new listing is created, which means we can speed up the process and improve efficiency across the board.

Stage 2: Creating new listings from scratch

Our team of specialists, developers actively work on the second stage of the new listing tool. This is the addition of new products directly to EDM Carbon. Instead of importing an existing list and then exporting it to a list on another channel, we’re developing the ability for you to create a new product right away in EDM Carbon. It will show up directly from our platform on eBay and all websites we support. Overall, this eliminates the need to create a list in one feed, import it, and then host it. So, it makes the process more simple, easier and save your time.

Stage 3: Listing directly onto Amazon

Finally, the last piece of functionality is the ability to list items directly on Amazon using an ASIN. Amazon is one of the most complex marketplaces, which is why we left this part of the development for last. It will take a lot of time and resources to test everything and make sure that we are all working perfectly and that we are doing everything right. We want this to happen. So, you will create one new product in EDM Carbon and list it on all marketplaces and online stores, including Amazon and eBay.

Stage 4: Testing and improvements

We are already releasing some areas of functionality for the new lists feature. We have a team of testers who work hard to test everything and make sure everything works correctly. Indeed, they test every part of it. These EDM Carbon clients help us identify any functionality issues, identify any bugs, and smooth the whole process.

If you haven’t signed up as a volunteer yet, you can see how things work in our new Ads User Guides. We’ll keep you posted and updated as we add new features and functionality to the Lists tool. We will continue to make announcements about our listing tool as new features become available, so stay tuned for more details in this section. In the meantime, if there are any special features or functionality you would like to see in EDM Carbon, feel free to contact us by sending an email request to info@pahman.com.

Let’s say you’ve just started e-commerce or are thinking about taking the plunge and starting an online business.
